FYI Nikko Exhaust

Wild Hair Accessories offers the Nikko Exhaust Systems for all year GS's up to 2006, however they are quite pricey.  Full systems only; SS w/ Aluminum oval can- $900  and SS w/ Carbon or Titanium- $1080   :mad:

Way, way out of the ball park for me !

Those are actually pretty normal prices for a full exhaust system on most bikes EXCEPT the GS500. We seem to be super cheap.

Hey I have a question.

A full exhaust would be not only the can but the stuff that connects to the headers, I got that.


but whats a slip on

The header comes from the motor back; the stock can is welded on.  After market cans either bolt-on (because the manufacturer put the flange there) or they slip-on (the stock header pipe slips insinde the short inlet pipe on the can, usually held on by springs).
