I spoke to him.  He's doing better.  He was even able to go to work today...lucky him.  I was worried until he finally called me back.  He was just driving when I called.  Things in his area are getting better.

  Yeah, cell service around here is pretty shoddy  (and I only have a cell). We went over to my GF's parents a couple towns over, they were completely isolated yesterday but today  they had one road opened to let supplies and people in. They got it a lot worse. The place her dad works is one of the largest employers in their area, and is closed until further notice. Sucks. And of course they are without electricity. I scouted around town and there were so many houses that were evacuated. Water was up to stop signs in some places, and still is. Police caution tape roped off a lot of areas, there were vehicles stalled and abandoned in the middle of the streets. Kim said it reminded her of "The Day After Tomorrow" or whatever. Heh.

But ya, I'm still kicking
