Hi i did my wxhaust and rejet the other day.  A Technical question unrelated is what is the throttle position sensor for on a carbed engine.  I know what it does on fi but on a carb it doesn't make sense to me.

is there a tps on the carbs?  i think i know what you are talking about and i've always wondering if it was a tps.  my guess is it would effect the ignition timing (there isn't much else it could effect).  the popular thing to do today in the world of engine management is to factor throttle position in things like timing and boost control and the like.  it gives a smoother ride as it allows for a more 'power on demand' behavior.  for example, you probably want more advance when you are ripping it WOT compared to when you are only rolling on throttle gently.
