Alrighty boys and girls, I just got the call from the shop that my bike is done.

Race Tech srpings, 15w oil.

I'll post a full review but the guys down there have "tested" (they ride track too  :icon_lol: )and were basically like, "You have no idea how good it is..."

I'll tell you in a couple hours, going to go assault the local twisties. Worth the 110 bucks? (Preliminarily I'd have to say VERY YES)

Enough Blabbering, will edit in a few hours.

Update:

Bike handles great, feels lighter and more eager entirely. I went for the full race spec numbers for me (0.85 springs, 15w oil)

A little chattery on the freeway, but not so bad I would not take the road trip.

You can't bottom them easily, I haven't been able to yet. They're pliant enough for rough roads and precise beyond anything I thought a bike could be.

Now for the fun bit, the twisties. At first it's scary how fast it reacts, I mean it's like having your GS go and drink 6 espresso's. Not nervous though. You get used to it and I found myself flopping from side to side with more confidence and carrying WAY more speed without getting ragged.

Bumps in corners are definately uncomfortable, but they do not upset you or the bike at all.

On the way home there's this set of three manhole covers that I could never quite slalom at 35, close, but not there.

With the race techs it's absolute cake.

Stops better too.

In short, worth every dime.
Rich, RIP.

:thumb: sounds good, I'm hopefully putting mine in today, so it'll be good to read what you think of them.

I have to wait for a new battery, so I wont get a chance for a test ride till next weekend.
The more I learn about women, the more I love my bike.

I have my sonic 0.85 springs sitting right here next to me.

Will put them in next week after my long journey to Melbourne and back (1800k's) as I don't want to risk putting my bike out of action before I go.

Yeah I'm running the .85's due to my weight. (I'm not a skinny ass like Alpha)

Are those straight rate? That's what I'm using.
Rich, RIP.

If you don't mind me asking, how much do you weigh, did you go with the standard street spring rate that they calculated on their site?

Thanks!

I'm 180 lbs. Not a problem, rather proud as a little over a year ago I weighed 260 - 270.

I went for the race numbers they gave me, except they said .87 (which should be .90 when rounded) but I decided to go with the .85's so I wouldn't have to run like some 2.5W (if that even exists) if it was too harsh.
Rich, RIP.

Alphamazing

Yeah, my reccomended spring rate was like .74 for street and .77 for race, so I went with the .8kg/mm springs, but put 5W fork oil in to compensate for the extra stifness.

So I've got the full race rate too, I guess.
