hey guys this is my first post...hopefully you guys can help me out......i was  changing my oil today and when i was putting the cover back over my oil filter and i torqued the bolt off out of my engine........now it wont seal i dont know what to do any ideas

torqued the bolt off?  You mean you broke it?  Or you stripped it?

If you broke the bolt you'll either need to hit up a machine shop and have them ease-out it.

If you stripped it you need to drill it one size bigger and retap it.

And you need to get a torque wrench.
