JESUS CHRIST !! Madden 06 is the worst game ever

I have never seen such a bad game.   

Firstly, some one on my punt team just did a header, knocking the ball into the endzone, giving the other team a touchback.

secondly,  Aparently offensive line men must be very very sticky, causing the running back to get stuck behind them, causing me to get tackle 20 yards in the freaking back field!

Thirdly,  this is the most unbalance wonky POS ever.  You can shut down a offence all game then right at the end they can run up 100 yard in 3 series.  I wish I had never bought this dumb game.

PS the 2k series was much better

2k series was wayyyy better than madden.

I used to think that.  until I spent some time on the Madden engine.  When I first tried Madden i was just as turned off as most, but over time I realized they are just two different games...and as unappealing as the thought is, you just have to learn to play all over again from the start.

One thing I don't miss about the 2K games is that the difficulty only had three levels.  Once I mastered one, I would turn it up a notch and have to get humiliated for weeks before I got the hang of the new level.  With Madden there were more difficulty levels and the a.i. was more tuneable, soI was able to enjoy learning the game. 

A few tips for the uninitiated at the Madden/EAsports football game:

The madden players move more like they are on skates than in the Sega game.  You have to rely on the cut/spin/juke/stiffarm buttons for mobility.   Just give it some time and you will see.

If you want a good running game, stack the O-line with run-blocking linemen... they make ALL the difference.

The speed burst button is tempting to use on evey run, but makes the runners VERY vulnerable to being tackled.  A little corner will de-cleat a sprinting back every time if he has the angle.

In general, the long passing game is off limits until you complete a few short outs or screens.  The modifiers for quarterbacks drop precipitously when they throw a few incompletions in a row or an early int.

and PS, nothing beats Mario Brothers.
