A lambo vs an R1?  Who cares?  Even if the car is faster, the R1 has a price tag about 6-10 times lower.  People are gonna drive what they wanna drive.  If someone beat my civic on an R6, would I be angry?  No, because despite my 16-year-old dream of modding an import to be a road machine, 4 years later at 20, I realize that my civic is in fact an economical grocery getter (that I do, occasionally, enjoy driving fast).

Just like when I bought my GS, I had no delusions of going out and racing it.  It's a good beginner bike for someone like me that doesn't have the experience to handle the power of a supersport.

So, in the end, who cares.. they all have wheels and engines.. just drive them.

Okay, dude, I'm talking about a Carrera 4 vs an R1 though.

Difference being?  Both super car (or highend sports car) vs. super bike. Both work as an example just saying no need for another one of the same.

Ditto. Thats why I bought mine last summer.  $750 and something thats not super powerful. So, if I drop it in my driveway I dont care and something I could handle. 

Why did I buy my F3?  Half hour, at least, ride to school on the highway everyday.  GS has no wind protection and not much power on the highway,  F3 solves that.  So would a SV650 which I looked for but couldnt find a good deal on one.  That and I like the way the F3 looks better.  Thats for those of you who like to think people just run out and buy powerful bikes cause they have the money and dont know better or whatever. 

You're the type of guy I have to bite my tongue around when I'm at a meet, whether it be for cars or bikes.  There's always this guy who has a mediocre car at best who keeps flapping his gums at guys with nicer, faster cars, and when the guy finally gets called out for it he'll ramble off "well let me go get my bike" or whatever.

Why not hold your tongue now then?  I have a car that gets me from place to place its a p.o.s. I hate it lots of times. My bike is my speed, no need to flap my gums about my car. If someone is going to call me out its going to be cause of my bike.  Im not retarded I know how fast it can go I dont brag about stuff thats not mine. 

The only reason this guy in the Vette was down there the other night was to race, show off, whatever.  I even talked to him after pulling into a parking lot. He thought my bike ran good, I said yup.  Damn me for running my mouth and getting called out.

Its nice to be able to take rich old people down a notch every now and then.

Oh come on!  Do you REALLY think that guy in the Vette was jealous of you on a bike that's almost a decade old?  How exactly is some guy (you) on an old BIKE supposed to be knocking a guy in a Vette "down a rung" anyways?

Oh well.  Have fun making Ferrari and Lambo owners yearn for a decade old 600cc motorcycle after you show them who's boss!

Not trying to say he was jealous of my decade old bike just saying I showed him, out there showing off his Vette, that its not as hot as he might think.  I dont even care if he is jealous of it if he is awesome I guess if not whatever next time he will know not to mess with a decade old bike. 

How does the age of the vehicle matter anyways people love and drive and hotrod out cars from the 30's on up (maybe even earlier).  Its taste, fool. People yearn for cars from the 60's with their oh so amazing drum brakes, leaf springs, no power anything, and big gas guzzling V8's.
