Hey guys-

I have had a couple of offers for my bike lately and I wondered what your thoughts were on how much to sell
for. I have checked nada, bluebook, and several other site's, but wanted to know your opinions.

It is a 2001 GS500 with 11266mi on it

My father-in-law dropped it on the right side, but it only caused a few scrapes.

I put brand new michelin's on it a the beginning of the summer.

Overall the bike is in pretty good shape. It runs great, has glossy paint, and the seat still looks new.

Thanks
josh

Look below in my signature for the link to my GS price page. The page explains where the data comes from.

Your market and bike condition will, of course, vary.

The NADA page and KBB values, I am told, do not vary terribly from the ebay data I collect.

A product called "Human Eye 1.0 R49"  I've had it a long time, but it doesn't work as well as it used to.
There are upgrades available, but sometimes the cost/benefit ratio isn't favorable.

I've tinkered with several ebay search filters and am certain to miss a couple from time to time. The ones I miss are usually found here and pointed out either for the condition of the bike, the outrageous claim of the seller, or the pure ignorance of the same. Why do my filters miss them?  IDK. The listings have everything I trigger on, but just didn't for some reason.

The project has been going on a while and I just recently stumbled across a product, that I do not intend to purchase due to the price, that claims to be able to filter data from all sorts of sources.

I will venture to claim over 90% of ebay listings are caught in my data for the last 2 years. It wasn't that good initially due to errors in listings. Sometimes I can run a search more than once and get different lists! I think the ebay servers give out what they can in an alloted amount of time and then that's all you get for that pass -- at least it seems that way at times.

Chuck

A lightly scuffed 2001 in otherwise good shape should fetch about two grand.  Plus or minus for your region and crap like that.

Thanks guys for all the help.

I have had a guy after me about selling mine, but all the cash he has is $1500.00 dollars. To me, at that price, my GS is worth keeping to commute back and forth work.
