Do I need to oil my new KN lunchbox right out of the box?

My KN lunchbox just came in today.  Is the filter pre-oiled or do I need to oil it up before putting it on the bike?

Is the cotton red or white?

If it's white, it has no oil.
If it's red, it has oil.


Too much oil doesn't hurt it that bad... :dunno_white:

I've seen in another post that K&N filters could be another color??!?!?  I thought they were red (after oiled anyway).
