I call mine "Hornet" since it's yellow and black.  It used to be bumblebee, but I didn't want it to follow the transformers :embarrassed:

My GS is Black Magic Woman - yeah, as in Satana's song.

My 919... well, I don't have a name for it yet. Hmmm.... lets have a contest... ok, new thread coming up...

My 2004 GS500 is named Taarna. The 1983 Yamaha DT100K I had before it was called Dirty (and sometimes Twitch). The 1987 XV535 bobber build doesn't have a name yet other than basket case, because it is a rolling chassis and a few milk crates full of parts.

Hi honey!  :kiss3:

Welcome to the nuthouse!
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

Just wanted to use one of the older threads about naming GS'es, since there are 5 threads about naming GS'es.

Mrs. named hers Jack, short for Jack-Be-Nimble.  (She still doesn't believe that the GS weighs the same as my Ninja 650; they just feel way lighter is all...)

And for the record, we've ended up naming all our vehicles, as they all most certainly have personalities.   :D

I call mine "The Ape".  Someone called it the grape ape once. I dont know why because its Teal, not purple. but the name stuck. Now I have a teal monkey from a Barrel of monkeys I am trying to attach to the bike.
