First "long" freeway trip..

I have class on Saturday mornings ~35 miles from home, so one of the things I was looking forward to was taking my new bike to class.  And I did this morning for the first time.  It was my first time doing anything more than around town freeway riding, so I had a friend drive with me, to make me a little more comfortable, but I did it.  Yayy!!! 
Very cool to use only about a gallon of gas, instead of 1/4+ tank in my car.

Soon you'll be off the freeway, blasting around on secondary highways for fun on the way home.  Best stress relief ever.  :thumb:

Met up with a friend and did a little bit of the backroads and fun stuff today.  Got stung by a bee while dodging vultures.  Man, I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.  I just wanna know how you get stung by a bee in that tiny little partially hidden strip of skin between your helmet and your jacket!  It was fun anyways, though.  Makes for a great story.  "So yeah, I was ducking while these vultures were swooping around some roadkill, when I thought one of them pooped on me.  I swipe at my neck, check my glove, and it's a bee!"

Hah.. be glad it wasn't INSIDE your helmet. That sounds fun, no?

Or worse yet... it could have been.... A SQUIRREL!
