dumb question re: windshield size

Hey,

I want to order one of those Slipstreamer spitfire windshields, but they give you a choice of a "1-inch" or "7/8" clamp.  Does this refer to the thickness of the handlebars, or?

How do I know which one is right for my bike?

if them's your options....
jap bikes have 7/8 inch bars
H-D have 1 inch

99.999999 positive ya gunna need a 7/8
