its not g.ay to have your mate as a passenger on your bike, settle down you red necks :icon_mrgreen:
and to answer your question no you wouldn't have broken your frame, (it is made of steel after all) it does redirect all the forces to those points that the sliders are on but thats still not a real major issue.
don't be too hard on your mate, people do stupid sh$t from time to time, its only a bike and your both ok which is the main thing,
get some frame sliders if you have plastics on your bike, if its a naked bike or its gunna be now that all the plastics are stuffed, get some engine guards,
i managed to slide of my bike at 50 and all that happened is the guards and the reqr indicator got a grinding, along with my elbow shoulder and hip.
well have fun :thumb:

In an accident the frame gets subjected to forces it was not designed to accomodate, even fitting sliders will not guarantee that it wont be damaged.  As a result of the accident  the frame MIGHT be damaged or distorted, it depends on how it hit the ground (or anything else for that matter) and how hard. Its impossible to say if its within tolerance without it being carefully examined by an expert with specialist equipment. The link explains how its done.

If someone has a few hours spare could they please translate this into English for me please. I have no idea as to what he posted, but it looks serious from the replies.

today my friend did the stupidest thing ever, he jumped off my bike wile i was taking a curve. i droped my bike and its a lil fup. needles to say i asked my friend what the hell was wrong with him and got no strate answer out of him. so i want to know had i had sliders on would i have broken my frame?

Translation:

Today I was out riding with my buddy on the back and he did the dumbest thing ever! In the middle of a turn my passenger bailed off my bike! This threw off a lot of things and caused me to wreck my bike. I asked my friend why he did such a thing, but he wouldn't give me a straight answer.

My question is this: If I had frame sliders on my bike, would my frame have gotten damaged?

My main inquiry is regarding my motorcycle's frame. Please read the first (translated) post to see my question. Thank you.

im straight thanks, just pissed. the egine is all scratch up, the mirror, a little of the frame and i have a good ensentive for those after market turn signals.

Translation:

I am alright, thank you. I'm just angry at my friend for the most part. The engine casings are scratched up, as is the mirror, and a small part of the frame. Now that this has happened I am thinking about purchasing some aftermarket turn signals.

Here's my question, if this is Nicky's first bike, how has he been riding a year with a passenger?

I think there is a little bit of miscommunication going on here...

Hahahahahaha....Pandy, that was hilarious.  Just b/c this is his first bike he could still have been riding two up for more than a year.  Dude, Nick that sucks big time.  Atleast your friend could help you pay for the damages?   Brett-  What you got against Nick?

I care cause Im sick of everyone coddling someone who posts a million and 2 threads on exhausts and framesliders and tapeflames and stunting and then when we do give him advice, other than search noob, he totally ignores it and goes out and acts like a jackass anyway.  :flipoff:

pandy

Whereas you act like a jack@$$ 98% of the time for no good reason that I can think of, and everyone's pretty damned patient with you! Why aren't YOU the least bit patient with others? Hmmm...??  :flipoff:

I have been very patient with Nick.  I have run searches for him and tried to explain to him how to put on a damn exhaust.  Now he and his riding buddy's are endangering people by being jackass's.  Ultimately as the bikes owner and driver he is responsible for his passenger and his passenger's actions.  Grow up!!!  You are gonna kill yourself or someone else and become a statistic and make all of our insurance rates go up.  THANK YOU!!!

i'm still convinced that nik villan is someone just jerking around with the board. If not, Miami is one place I'll pass on visiting.

You know, I used to doubt that anyone could pull off such feats of stupidity.

Then Wednesday someone came into Lowes and bought a toaster oven......

This one:  http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=63181-83124-KCO1005OB&lpage=none

And paid 90 bucks for delivery to a place about an hour out.

They did not put it in the car and drive home..... Hell I could fit the damn thing in a backpack if I was riding, or bungie it to the seat at the very least.

After seeing that momumental stupidity, I've learned one thing.

Never doubt the stupidity of others.
