brake pads are making a buzzin sound normal?

hi
i have just put some softer after market brake pads on my GS500F and they make this buzzing sound which gets louder if i use the front brakes is this normal

i have put them in the right way because i took it to a bike shop after i installed them and he said it was all done right

i have topped up the brake fuild as much as i could

My front brakes do the buzzing thing as well. Appears to be louder with sintered pads than with the phenolic ones.

Yeah I filed that under things I should worry about and ask, and then never asked..

Sounds almost EXACTLY like a damn chicada (sp?) little bugs we have in NV that make well, that buzzing noise.

I don't mind my bike doing it, but those f%$king bugs need to die. (Cause they NEVER STOP ALL DAY LONG!!!!)

Yes, it's normal.  The noise will decrease over time.

Yeah mine started doing it more when I put on new kevlar pads too. I think it's worth it though, you never know when you might get shot in the brakes  :laugh: at least they should be bulletproof.
