More enjoyable.

With a dual sport, you are not limited to the pavement.

SOMETIMES cops with bikes are more lenient.

Bikes are faster

Motorcycle is like a small jet plane on ground, you get to feel the G forces in corners and be free of other traffic by snaking through it,
you can park the nearest to wherever you going, you don't like the scenery twist the throttle and go,you are the one with machine!
Just be carefull...

1 you dont have to put on a seat belt  -- I don't consider less safety a plus.  Besides, I can't stand to not wear a seat belt in a car.
2 you can split lanes -- no i can't.
3 cost less for fuel -- a plus
4 free air con -- You mean NO air conditioning.  It is so hot here I can't stand to be sitting in traffic.
5 you look cool -- true dat.
6 if you crack one off you dont have to put up with the smell -- but I LIKE the smell.

Okay, that last one was a joke.   :)

Basically, a bike saves gas and is very fun to ride.  Other than that, I don't see many advantages over a car.  You're much more exposed in an accident, you're more vulnerable to road hazards, you have to "suit up" before you can ride, you can't carry much stuff compared to even a small car, you're exposed to the elements, and you have no temp control.

Still, having said all that, I still wouldn't want to give it up.  It's THAT fun.   :thumb:

You don't have to put on a seatbelt... you only have to put on a jacket, helmet, pants, gloves, and boots. If I need to go somewhere quickly or somewhere nearby, its definitely the car for me.

Really? Quite the opposite for me. If I'm just running somewhere it's the bike for me. Jeans, sneakers, jacket, helmet, gloves. Doesn't take long to put the gear on and it's a lot more fun than the car.

Then again, I pretty much hate taking the car no matter where I go.

Main advantages I see:

free or cheap parking by using little places cars can't
arriving at work alert and revved up
a boring commute is way more fun

I live in Texas. The engine is warm before I even start the bike.

Besides not necessarily free parking, can still get towed if you park in an illegal space.

You can't sing into your helmet when driving a car.... or move your legs slightly to get a nice breeze on the crotch.

More fun I'll agree with, but if I needed to get somewhere right now I can run out in my shorts and sandals, not change into pants and put on gear. I'd say that alone saves me at least 2 minutes which is significant for a short trip.

I guess there is an advantage to walking around your house in just your underwear then!

Dude, from my bed to geared up and ready to go (it's 110 in NV, you don't even need to THINK about the choke LOL) I'd say 7 minutes. Including shower. I'm geared up in like less than 1 minute. Helmet, jacket, gloves and backpack.

Takes me longer to get ready for the cage. Why? Because I want to ride.

Road is hard and highly abrasive.

You are soft and not abrasion resistant.
