I ran a 16 36 for a while Sorta cool for crusing around town and canyon carving was less shifting but top end had no balls...

I used to have the 16/40; I've gone back to stock, now.

I'm enjoying the 14/39.

Although I think 15/42 would be a better option, to even out the difference in chain length.

I picked those combinations since they are the sprockets I have and use at the track, which I normally ran 14/40. I have been thinking of starting with 15/41 on the street bike I am building.
