Please don't let ONE instance make you sour on motorcycling.  Just remember, every brand vehicle (bike & car) has it's bad lots, and bad dealers.

2007 YZF-R6 - Purchased 7/03/07
2004 YZF-R6 - Stolen 5/25/07

Write the local paper and TV Stations  Call The state DMV or go to them and ask what is the lemon laws and could you get a copy..  Then Go back to the dealer.  With a letter that you intend to mail to the local Paper tv stations and the info from the DMV and Demand that they perform the next 6 services for free. Also word of mouth tell the patrons at that Suzuki dealership that they aren't taking care of you and that you wish you went with another dealer.... Laywer will be a good step too...

A happy customer tells maybe one or two people about how they were treated good. A bad customer Tells tens.. Or now It can reach thousands pending on if you are on the net...

Sounds like there service team is part of the special mechanics union. Where they specialize in botching it up.  Do any of them Talk Like Corky???

Talk to a manager and suzuki rep to see if they will buy the bike back if you upgrade to a SV650.This worked for a friend of mine with his lemon BMW 328I, he upgraded to a 330I. If they will let you, spending the extra on the SV will be cheaper than getting a lawyer

Hey guys guess what. I got my bike back tonight. Dealer sad they test drove it 40 miles w/ no leaks. Turns out it was a 2nd blown head gasket at 430 miles! So i'm like what the hell. So the bike was running fine and looked fine so I took it home. We I was checking the right side for leaks the whole way home since that has been the problem area of the engine. I finally get home and pull into my garage and get off. I look down and guess what I see? Oil leaking out of the LEFT side this time! I called suzuki as soon as I got in the house and they are ,once again, supposed to resolve this issue tomorrow. Wanna place bets on whether or not the dealer blames me for the leak once again since it was "fine" when the rode it 40 miles?! BTW I let the bike warm up for the exact time they said right in front of their doors then I got on and kept it under 4500 rpm's the entire way home. Guess I just rode it too hard again eh? Suzuki rep said he is taking it higher up now. I say hell with that i'm calling an attorney in the morning, enough is enough. Don't think I will be buying another Suzuki after this mess, especially since a few other people have 06's with blown head gaskets. Not a good first motorcycle experience.

Crap. Now I'm afraid to get mine back. 15 days and counting. This really sucks. But I think it's just a few bad eggs in the bunch. Maybe something went screwy with some of the '06's. I was reading my manual today and it says in there that if you experience anything that could be life threatening to contact the National Traffic Safety Board first, then contact Suzuki. The NTSC will do an investigation and if they receive enough reports about the same problem, they will have Suzuki issue a recall. I think a blown head gasket qualifies as life threatening. A little oil on the back tire and you could have a really bad day. I'm drafting a letter to the NTSC tonight and another one to Suzuki. You might do the same.
No bike. =(

Enough is definitely enough.  Talk to that manager that you had a positive experience with and let her know you'll be dropping their bike off the next day and you expect a full refund.  No ifs, ands, or buts.  If she won't / can't agree speak to her boss.  Let them know you're fully prepared to 1. speak with the Suzuki regional manager and 2. file a suit if necessary.  You've been more than patient and you aren't willing to lie down any more.

Took my bike in to get the head replaced. Faxing items to the attorney tomorrow. Talked to the salesman who sold me the bike tonight. He told me a lot of good info and told me to get an attorney. Turns out, that the dealer has no certified mechanics, they all walked out. Suzuki has given them 30 day notice to get all their new "service techs" certified or the will take the suzuki name out of the dealer. He also let me know that he knows the manager of another dealer close by and said that if I get my money back he will get me a brand new gs500f at cost. Souned good to me. He feels bad because he sold me the lemon. He also told me if I need a statement or him for court it wiould be no problem. We will see what the attorney says after he reviews my case.

also this dealer put a loose wheel on a 4 wheeler a month ago, the owner had the 4 wheeler for 5 days, the wheel came off and flipped over him twisting the frome. It was a 4x4 with gps and everything. Tore th ride all up, broken bones and everything. The dealership got out of it all because in the manual it states u must tighten the lugnuts every 10 hours or something like that and the man had ridden it around 15-20 hours so the dealer didnt have to pay a dime to him and his quad was totaled out. This dealer is rough. Hopefully i get my money back and can get the other dealer to give me a new bike at cost to them, should save me thousands. We shall see.

evey one needs to stay away from this dealer

Also let it be known that Suzuki is well aware that this dealer has no certified techs but tells me to keep taking my bike there to get fixed and has told me repeatedly that the techs there know what they are doing. The salesman let me know that Suzuki told the dealer that they needed to get the mechanics certified which means they have known this for awhile and Suzuki has had no intention of telling me this. Suzuki isn't leaving themselves a good name with this situation either...

wtf....so this guy knows he works for shitty company and continues to sell bikes for them? ugh....

Also 06GSowner. I'm getting so confused with all your threads. Can you please state in one post everytime you've taken it into the shop. That's fu@#%ng insane. It's a freaking bike, not rocket science. Some of the guys on this site can BUILD a brand new bike in less than a month. You've been shafted big time. Get your $$$ back and never talk to this dealership again. Write to a newspaper or local tv station. Local news eats this stuff up.

Also I like the idea of demanding your money back with a 24 hour notice. Bring the bike, a friend in his car and drop it off and don't leave till you have cash in your hand. Or call a lawyer, perhaps the police (nah maybe not the cops). Let us know how it goes. Sorry you're having such a horrible time

Oil going all over the place? that sucks dude. But if you hadn't put oil in your engine to begin with you wouldn't have had this problem . What you need is an engine oil bypass kit from kaleco!!! Its revolutionary design ensures that that expensive new synthetic oil you just spent your measley check on does not get into your block and experience heat and the stresses of enternal combustion!! Check out the product reviews to read what people think about the kit. And purchase your kaleco engine oil bypass kit today!

Dude. This is a serious thread. Post your "funny" crap in O&E or in a less serious thread. This guy's talking about getting shafted on the order of thousands of dollars, not really a laughing matter.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

The salesman is quitting at the dealer saturday and oddly enough coming to the company I work for to be a salesman. I will post saturday a thread with all my repairs for you guys, also the attorney has all of my information and is reviewing it. I should get a call Monday letting me know where we go from here.

pantablo

its unfortunate that you're going through this. I am starting to suspect, given the number of different issues people are having with the new F models, that they (Suzuki) may have changed where the bike/parts are manufactured and arent controlling the quality of the work as well. I have never seen so many problems with the gs as I have these last months.

06GSowner, keep on it and dont let this experience sour you from motorcycling in general or suzuki in particular.
