Okay, so I have this little bandaid on my arm, and you can see a little pinprick speck of blood through it.  So about six times today, I've had a conversation like this:

them: What happened?
me:   Motorcycle.
them: OMFGBBQWTFCNN you crashed?!?!?!
me:   No, a wrench slipped.  Why would you assume I crashed?
them: Oh, I don't know.  It's a motorcycle.

People are funny.  I hope if I go down someday I get off that easy.

- So... have you crashed yet?
(me) why?
- well, you ride a motorcycle...

I can see why they assume you crashed...when they ask what happened say wrench, not motorcycle...LOL...

a friend got that all the time with his biorth mark on his leg  big red bloches , people asked did you spill acid on your legs???   why acid

I see lots of posts here about people treating bikers this way. Here in PA  bikes are EVERYWHERE! Ever seince I was a kid there has been a higher number of bikes here than anywhere I have ever been.

The only comments I get from anyone.. even strangers is "nice bike... glad to see you are wearing a helmet *wave" 

People here really seem to respect bikers.

I'm not gonna say i'm glad i've wrecked, cus thats not the case at all... but, it does give me a comeback in those situations...

Them- Don't you know motorcycles are dangerous?
Me- Heck yes I do!!, i've slid 115 feet on pavement because of a careless driver that failed to stop at a stop sign.  You can bet your hide that I always ride in protective gear, too!
Them- Oh, ok

Me- YEah, there's not as much metal to protect me from idiots like you.

Of course I'm an arsehole.
