ANyone catch Alton BRowns new show on FOod network¿I am watching it right now and its a really good mix of GOod Eats,a nastalga(sp)/ food dinner,.travel show, and a mix of moto travel.  As far as I can tell he rides a BMW sport tourer, they also camp and cook on the show. Man what a great job that guy has, if you didnt get a chance to see it check it out.                          ~ash    :thumb:

Anthony Bourdain could kick Alton Brown's ass.

Man, that sucks big time.  It's tough enough trying to catch Good Eats on the Canadian version of FoodTV.. I'm sure they won't bother broadcasting his new show until next year here.  Time to get gray-market DishTV.  Although I am glad we no longer get Emeril.

No I missed it, but I'm sure I'll see it soon, I like AB and Good Eats, his ways of explaning cooking as definitly help me to cook a little better!

The only other show that I alway try to watch on the Food Network is the Everyday Italian, that Giada De Laurentiis is so freakin HOT!

I caught most of it on the replay.  It was pretty good, but not enough motorcycle though.

Alton Brown rocks.

And it's a 1200 RT.

I was talking with MC friends yesterday, we all agreed there wasn't much motorcycle in the show, except he happened to be on it.  But the show if fun so far & I'm looking forward to the rest of the episodes.

Were any of you inspired to go find some pickled pig's feet???

He wrecked the bike going through Arizona; and was out of comission for a few weeks. So the last few episodes are going to be from near his home in Georgia.

Also the bike he had during the doughnut episode of Good Eats I believe was an SV.
2006 SV650 K6....Finally back up and running!!! Now let the mods flow!

He had an SV650S, but traded it for the BMW 1200RT.  Considering the fact that I couldn't walk after 120 miles on one, I suspect he wanted something that wasn't a torture rack.

According to the website, there are only 4 episodes. and he wrecks in 3 (I believe), but he continues in a rented SUV.

I tivo'd it, but haven't gotten a chance to watch yet.  Didn't he ride a motorcycle, BMW I think, in the grits episode on Good Eats???
GS500F in BLUE because that's the COOLEST color!

Ditto Jen, Bourdain could wail on Alton, but remember this.  Alton was the AV nerd that got beat up and went into film making.  Bourdain was on speed in NY clubs, starting fights.

My engineering side enjoys Alton technical cooking.  My cynical side truly appreciates Bourdains view of the world.  I also like some of Bourdain's fiction.

I was expecting a bit more from Alton's show.  It is somewhat aimless and unstructured, especially as an avid view of Good Eats.
