Are you putting in your name or handle? I added that requirement to deal with spam, so if you don't fill it out, it won't save.

Sanjay -

I ran across your WIKI doing research into the GS.  Really great info and I love it.  Bravo.

Yeah I quit school for a day and then re-enrolled  :)  Actually they upgraded some firewall somewhere and didn't set CGI permissions correctly, so the whole thing went down for a bit.

Anyway, glad to see people are using it.  It always needs more contributions, though, so when you learn something new, add to it!

It does lead to a valid question though... what happens after you graduate? Is the wiki info backed up somewhere?

sanjay

So the data is backed up and easily transferable.  All you have to do is install PmWiki on any computer anywhere and load the "database" into it, and it'll be fine.

The most obvious choice for a computer is wherever GSTwins is hosted, and just point wiki.gstwins.com to the wiki.  This requires some help from John (or perhaps TheGoodGuy?) and access to the site admin.  This will hopefully happen eventually, and we can move the whole thing from my school site.

In the meantime, I'm in this for the long haul (PhD in 2010?) so it's not going anywhere.

I went to attach some pictures to a new entry and got the error "cannot upload - disk quota reached".  Can someone please look into this?

I have a good hosting site. http://dreamhosters.com I'd be willing to host the wiki after he leaves school.

In other news someone keeps vandalizing this page. I fixed it but can you ban the IP or something?

I just went in and edited the headlight aiming instructions.  The previous instructions were pretty bad, and left a lot of room for error resulting in a headlight that is too high.  I used portions of the text from Kerry's instructions here and from another site that I found a link to in here.

http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Maintenance/AimHeadlight

I attached a few files that wound up not working correctly, but I can't remove them.  If someone could remove them, that would be great.  Right now, they're just taking up space.  Here is a list of them:

rear bolt.jpg
rear bolt
horizontal

I also found a few other files that were attached by someone and they don't work as well.  they are:

carbsync_side
carbsync_top
visegrips

It looks like they made the same mistake as me by not adding the file extension to the images they attached such as .jpg .

Thanks guys!
