Bought a 96 with very bent forks, wheel 90 degrees to frame but handlebars still point straight. Where is a good place to look besides Ebay for parts? Are the frames easy to bend on these? I know the forks are quite skinny so I hope that the forks took all the force and just bent.

hmmmnz

ebay is defently your cheapest option, on parts,
the gs has a sttel frame so is fairly hardy and rearly bends after a crash, especially a front end smash, check that your head stem hasn't cracked thats where the force of the crash would transfer to after the forks took most of the impact.
it sounds like a good excuse to upgrade the front end to a rgv/gsxr or bandit. twin disc :thumb:
you'll have to get a complete front end and either press out the gs head stem and swap it with what ever you get or make a 10mm (approx) spacer to put on the bottom as most suzuki stems are slightly longer than the gs. but are all pritty much the same width :thumb:
good luck
pod filters, costum r6 quill exhaust(no baffles)40/140 jets, heavy duty springs, sv650 rear shock, gsxr srad tail, bandit 600 4.5 inch rim with 150 tyre, gsx twin disc front end "1995 pocket rocket"  ridden by a kiwi in scotland

Nope ... I have seen a frame twist with a front end collision ... frame, forks and triples were all toast ... Ask werase ... Look for spots on the frame and could be a bit away from the neck too ... where ys have un explainable cracks in paint ... that = stretching or ripping of steel, and paint has gone adios ... steel will bend a lot more than paint.
Cool.

I looked closer and it was not as bad as I thought, forks, triples bent, and I hope that only the axle not the wheel is bent. I bought the bike for just over 300.00 so not hurting if frame is bent too, just something to tinker with.

in addition to ebay, keep an eye here in the for sale section. lots of parts change hands here.

welcome too!

It is fairly easy to install a different front end. Katana and GSXR are the common ones.

fyi...89-97 Katana wheels are the same as the GS.
Common sense in not very common.
