I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks.  What a great site!!!   I'm a proud owner of a 1990 GS500e that I bought new in that year.  Rode the bike "fulltime" for a full 3 years.

It has been sitting in my garage for the past 8 years and I just got the urge again to ride again.  It needs a ton of work to get rode worthy and this site has been a tremendous help!

I have a bunch of parts ordered and hope to get it on the road in a month or so.  My name is Chris and I live in North Wales, PA

Here is a link to a pic of my bike.  I'm too computer stupid to figure out picture postings at this time:-)

Give a man a fish, and you have fed him for a day.  Teach a man to fish, and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

"I'm too computer stupid..."

Ha ha ha, that's really funny to me for some reason. I'm gonna start saying that.

Anyways, welcome.

Welcome to the site, Chris! I see you are another eastern PA'er. You should come to the GStwin Meet n' Greet in June! It is in White Haven. A bunch of us are getting together for a group ride, camp, and BBQ stuff. It'll be a lot of fun! There are also some riders not far from you area. Check it out:

And nice bike! This is an excellent site for finding out anything you could ever want to know about the GS - and then some!  :thumb:
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

I might be able to make that gathering.  I'm only about an hour away from there.  A lot of good trout streams are in that area for those who fish.

Welcome! Nice to have another local rider on the bike, as well as the board. I'm in NE Philly so I'll let you know when the group from these parts hits the road next.

On those days when life is a little too much and nothing seems to be going right, I pause for a moment to ponder the wise last words of my grandfather:  "I wonder where the mother bear is?"

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?
