Finally got my part!! but...

so i finally got the pilot screw that was missing when i bought the bike...and i'm going to blame that screw for my bike not running (even after a couple of carb cleanings -- better make that 1 1/2 cleanings).  it's the screw that controls(?) the air/fuel mixture (at least i think that's what it does if i've read the threads correctly).  anyway, my bike hasn't really started since i got it (last wednesday) and i'm hoping this is what's gonna get it done.  thanks to all who walked me through my first carb clean!
however...after looking on the ron ayers motorsport superstore website at the carb diagram...it seems that i'm also missing a washer, a spring, and an o-ring!  i waited over a week for this pilot screw and i want to get my bike working  .
here's the question -- can i go ahead and put in the pilot screw (which i'm probably gonna do anyway) without those parts, or should i just wait and order them.  will it not work at all without these things, or can i try it without and order later??
let me know what you know....please!

You can put it in and it will probably do its job.

Not looking at the diagram I assume that the O-Ring seals fuel from dripping out along the screw, and washer and spring are there to secure the screw.

So: you can install it and test it, but I wouldn't ride it, since you probably would lose the screw again right away. If you can't  wait, at least plug the hole somehow, so the screw doesn't shake out.

dude...i knew i shoulda waited for you to post.  anyway, i just ordered the 'missing' parts off of bikebandit.  i also ordered new pilots (40) and mains (125).  as you all may know, they sell in packs of 4 so i may have some to sell...
in the meantime, i think i'm gonna try the silicone route.  any problems doing that until the parts come in?

I was gonna say a strip of duct tape.  Or, a ball of duct tape stuck up in the recess.
