With all the accidents that I have noticed latly and the way people drive to you think they should make getting a drives license harder?

When I lived in Germany and got my 1st license ,man the test was a pain.  100 questions ( you can miss 10 ) 50 ( you can miss 5 ) signs for the written test.  The driving test I remember having to do a 3 pt turn and the parallel parking on real city streets not in some parking lot with cones.  And if you failed either of those two manuvers you failed the test.  Can't remember much else about the driving test just those two thing really stood out in my mind.

I also think they should make people retake the test from time to time...  Especially old people.

You should have to speak English to get a license (call me a bigot if you must, but you know you what I'm talking about).

I also think they should have an "Advanced" license available...  It would be like a special endorsement that would allow you to exceed the posted speed limit on highways and major roads (not neighborhood roads)...

While they're at it, they should have a special license test that allows you to have a higher BAC...  You'd take the test drunk and your limit would be a couple point lower than where you fail the skills tests...  With a max of 0.18 or something...

And finally, they should have a restriction on the number of licenses vs the amount of drivers the roads can handle...  So, you have to wait for someone to fail the skills test (or die) before you could get your license...


And while we're fixing things...

Gas should have a 300% tax on it to pay for the roads and help fund 100% electric car production and solar/wind power generation installations, but there would be a tax return for delivery/work vehicles and taxis for 80% of the tax...

Vehicle licenses should be based on Weight, Size, and Gas Mileage...  H2s would cost $1000+ a year to license...  GS500s would be $20...  And Scooters would be $10... 

And studded tires would require a special permit.

How about skill tests?

I mean, really at 16 should you have a Cobra? (Unless you've matured quickly and have been to Bondurant, the answer is NO!)

(Now to toot my horn, Yes I went to Bondurant for my 17th. Kicked ASSSSSS!!!!! Even though I wasn't the lead guy I got way faster and safer.)

I would say that you could pick the drivers, but there's NO WAY you'd pick me to drive.

At the very least I'm for a special SUV license. You should have to learn how to drive those behomoths so you can stay in a single lane. And All SUVs should be manual transmission. That'll cut down on the number of teenagers and soccer moms driving them.

I think that they should, at the very minimum, make it illegal to use a cell phone while driving, and reading, eating, or putting on make-up, or talking on a cell phone should carry the same penalty as drunk driving. They should also make vehicle inspections mandatory.  That means if you drive a POS with no mirrors are brake lights, you will not pass the inspection.  They have vehicle inspcection that are required for licensing in Missouri, but in Kansas you can bring any POS onto the road with parts falling off it and the head liner blocking your view and a broke ass windshield.  Reason number 934 why most of the people from Kansas are jokers.

Or have a Cell Phone endorcement...  So, people that CAN talk on the phone and drive still can.

  Yes anyone involved in an accident or that files an Insurance claim for like knocking over there neighbors mailbox or backing the SUV into there house or anything stupid like that should have to take an advanced driving class and road test. And most states now I believe renew there licences every eight years, at that time or just every eight years you should have to retake the standard written and road test.
  And no way to driving with cell phone, they all are starting to come with more features like cameras, and little key boards so you can check and send emails, no way not while driving, every time I'm riding and see some lamo talking on a cell phone while driving there SUV their  usually drinking something or trying to eat or smoke, and there kids are jumping around in the back like its some kind of rolling playground, it makes me wish I had a Gixxer or something with a better roll-on, but I just kicker down two gears and try to get well enough ahead of drivers like that, which puts me at a +1 for a special licence for some who should get to go over posted speed limits, It should be an exception for anyone with a motorcycle licence to be able to go 10- 20mph over posted speeds, because we all put our lives at a higher risk just being on a bike, and then with all those Idiot cager's out there, so this should be like our added privilege so that we don't have to ride along side of these Morons.

And more Law Enforcement would help, but unfortunately it doesn't pay as well as it use to back in the day.
