ok so i put the stock jets back in (skinnier ones on the 05 model) because the 130's i got i guess dont match up or somethin, not sure what the problem was and why it wouldnt run perfect, would run right at all. idels ok, but when gas is given it dies. where did i go wrong? is there any step by step instructions anywhere that will show me how to do the jetting perfect and flawlessly if i follow the instructions?  i was runing the 130 jets, 1 in each carb, a k&n filter replacing the stock one, and a wileyco exhaust with srinaths flange, he also gave me the jet kit which consisted of 2 130 jets, 2 washers, and 4 allen head screws. i put them in i thought right but something deffinately wasnt right.  with the stock ones back in the bike and put stock air filter back in but still bogs down pretty badly, even more when i run it hard when i come to a stop or slow down it dies and i have to wait about 5 minutes for it to start back up again. i'm thinking its flooding but not sure why  :dunno_white: can anyone please help me with this problem? it would be greatly appreciated! thank you

Edit:  Bad advice, my fault.  Didn't realise he was on an F.  That's what I get for posting late at night after pub trivia.

where can i get 150 size mains, 40 size pilots and a washer for each needle at? and what is meant by 3 turns on the pilot screw?

no no he has the F model, so he has the wrong jets... you need 62.5 small round mid mains and 135 small round mains and no washers. (I assume you're using a drop-in style filter)

Sounds like you're running out of gas. You open the tank petcock. I can only check your jetting and how well you put those jets on. The hoses, tank and frame petcock (OK you can send it to me as well) but looks like you're not getting flow.
Not flooding, the exact opposite. Not flowing enough - like dripping ... instead of flooding.
Cool.

but why would that be? i put the jets in snug like the stock ones, could that be a little problem. and oh  the needs dont seem very stable, i dont know if they're supposed to be just sat in there or if something is supposed to hold them in place?

The needles have a plug sorta thing that goes on top of them. They do have some room to move/wobble around, but they cant up and run away.
The 135 mains and 62.5 pilots - yea who said that. Your setup could use 132.5's. we dont have to fiddle the mid mains, cos 1 I cant find them in the 62.5, and 2, lifting the needle is a better way to get your mid range working better.
135 will be too big. same logic as the old, 1 up on pilots, 1 up on mains, 1 washer under needle and 3 turns on air screw. I have done 1 bike so far that way and he said it worked great. makaveli will be #2 and if it works to his liking I am going to officially call it 130 for K&N in air box. Or lets see if he likes 132.5's.

its cool how everyone here likes to help out, i like that.   where do the washers go on the needles, i guess either tomorrow or friday i'll send it srinath

The Buddha

Pull the needles oout and they go on the underside of the needles. You're lifting up the needles so they have a thinner section inside the emulsion tube.

Not required unless you broke sheite - man these carbs couldn't be simpler. but too many people get confused. Maybe some people are wired up differently. The first damn time I saw these, I went, huh ... is that all ... WTF ... But then I was trying to jet it and I went in 1 step increments to 150. Man that was a rough month. 150 showed a loss from 145 and 147.5 but in effect I wanted to be past the max point of power. I went to 152.5 and the drop off was huge. I knew 150 was it.
