got me new/used gas tank

got it to day, its not flaw less, but still looks good, but...

the gas cap, looks as if some one tyed to pry it off with a flat head driver (to unlock it that is)

so my thoughs are that it is stolen and was parted out. there are no numbers on the tank other than the part#

what do you all think?

ether way i will have it mounted when the chain comes in at work and be back on the road again

some one probly tryed to syphan it or mabee there key didnt work in it so they had to get a screwdriver to it, (happened to my zxr400)
you bought it in good faith, so let your concience be clear,

Probably someone just tried to open the tank since they did not have a key and could not figure out how to pick the lock, which is not very difficult to do.

I would not worry about if it was stolen. Unless you have other proof, enjoy your purchase.

What was wrong with the black one? Wanted one that matched this time? 

Whatcha gonna end up doing with the black one? Track tank? Re-sell it?
