common sense

Cloudy days are actually the best down here in Texas, makes it alot cooler.
Make sure you take it easy, don't try to keep up with your friend if you aren't confortable with his pace.
You'll definately have a blast!  :thumb:

soooo today i popped my cherry riding on the road.. 8)..was a freaking blast!!!!.....BUTTTTT...i dropped the bike ...but it was too bad....i was trying to start on a hill....freaking stalled like a million times...thank god the ppl behind me were very pateint and kind.....at one point in the middle of me stalling and making a fool out of myself i lost footing and was about to dropped it.....lucky for me that once it barely touched the footpeg i had enough support from that to pull it back up...no scratches on the bike...

but besides that inconvenience it was a great time....tore up some back roads and i later practiced more starting on a hill...sill got to practice....

few things i would like to mention and maybe ppl could help me out...

1). my clutch is crazzzyyy!!! the guy before adjusted it and had the friction zone minimized....i forgot soo many times and stalled out.....gottshould i keep it this way casue im nto gunna lie while riding switching gears was quick and easy...alot more easier to manage....and the quesiton is should i just get use to it like that or adjust it back to giving me a bigger friction zone to play with...

2). when i first started the bike it seem like the motor was making funny noises.. :dunno_white:.....there was a clicking sound ( or suttin to that nature ) that i just couldnt find...im thinknig that maybe becuase it has been sitting for a week that starting up for the first time it needed to warm up...becasue after it sound fine.....im nto sure..do any of u guys hear any wierd clicking noises when they start up...

enjoyed the day to the fullest and i ant wait to get out there again.....

Glad you had a blast with your first ride and it ended well.  I had trouble on hills to till I got used to it.  On your clutch do what is more comfortable for you.  I have mine sorta loose but I like it that way.

On your clicking sound not sure what that could be.  But you always need to warm up your bike before you go riding.
Pilot 22.5, Mid 65 , Mains 147.5, Mixture screw 3.5 turns out

Even if the voices aren't real they have some good ideas.

There is no adjustment to broaden the clutch friction zone.  You can move the disengagement point in or out relative to the lever travel but, theoretically, the only way to broaden the friction zone is installing a longer clutch lever.  :icon_rolleyes:
