CBR1000, R6, ZX-6. How the hell did I pass them?

I don't get it. I really don't.

I've been "waved by" by a CBR1000, an R6 and a ZX-6. And they were out for the same kind of tire shredding run.

I wasn't going full out like I do when I find a chance (SPL has the keys to the track, I hang out with the mechanics at SPL  )

Hell nothing was dragging and I wasn't hanging off all that much. Granted I carried corners at speed, but that's what a run like that is for....

No raggedness, no crazy sparks not even the most fluid run! I was missing the line like a moron! I don't know how but these guys tried and couldn't keep pace.

Margin? I had so much left over it was nuts (yes I've been at the limits a few times when caught in bad situations, or when I got overzealous at the track or the occassional warehouse parking lot.)

I don't get it! Someone help me here. Is it lack of trust in the bike or something?

maybe you were faster in the corners?

if you ride well, the GS is really quick in the corners, and you'd be suprised.. what it lacks in staight line acceleration, it sure does make up in the twisties.

These could easily have been guys who aren't fast riders. Alot of new riders are just grabbing bigger bikes these days.

Why does it matter?   

They waved you on, you went ahead... everybody's happy.

lack of skill on their part. also probably their first bike and they're skeerd.

It just boggles my mind that I could get by them.

I mean I'm a noob! I'm not even that great.

if there new to a track (or twistys for that matter) you would be suprised. for some its great for others there scarded shaZam! less of leaning the bike a few digrees
