where can i buy one of these? I checked walmarts website and it doesn't look like they carry any thing like that, would a pep boys or some place have this? I really would rather buy it in person than through online.

Yeah lots of stores don't have all their inventory on the internet. Most times it is stuff that is too fragile, too big or illegal to ship through the mail.

BTW, I was semi-serious with my remark about having the bike knocked over. Too many here have reprted exactly that.

The walmarts near me dont carry the right one...not even close to the right one..i matched up numbers and ended up with a smaller sized battery that works just fine..one i have a block of wood in my battery box to keep it from wiggling around...I ordered the right one online.  :dunno_white:

Go to a battery store.  You'll typically get a much better quality battery.  I bought mine, it was dry.  They put the acid in it, I put it in the bike, and that's it!  I've only charged it once (it was cold, I was trying to get the bike to run, and was cranking on it quite a bit) and that was just for a few minutes.  I rarely commute on the bike, so it doesn't get ridden that often.  It still starts like a champ.

i just rather get a sealed b.c it isnt messy, as liable to leak, better starting, etc.. so it seemed walmart be the easy way to go.

Except that the walmart batteries aren't really sealed.

actually they are, if you read through the thread they just keep the acid separate from the container so it has a longer shelf life.  Someone said also that once you put the acid in, it's near impossible to take the cap off that seals it. also there is no overflow resevoir which is another clue.
