I might put this under the license plate.  This has turn signals on the ends.

I might put these in the diagnal "slots" in the fairing of my "f" model

Better mod:

Ditch the fairings. Get a dual headlight. Sexxxxxxxxxxy bike!

Actually, those are kinda cool. I have no place to put them on my naked bike. Nor do I have any money to spend on them. But they're cool!

SQUID!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

What is it?  A brake light?  Do the outter two LED's act as turn signals?  Are you keeping the stock signals too?  Cause those two 5mm LED's aren't going to do a whole lot.

The first item has I think three LEDs on each side in amber to act as blinkers.  I'd use them WITH the stockers.  The middle section is red for another brake light.

The second item would be used as secondary blinkers for the front, but I'd prefer something a bit longer.  So far, I haven't really found anything EXACTLY like what I have pictured in my puny head.  And I don't remember my high school electronics classes to make my own.  I've got some Autocad drawings somewhere, but it's the nitty gritty stuff like what resistor and such.

Awesome, adding some visibility is always a plus in my book.  I think it will look bitchin too.

I problem in the front is that the angled slot is facing downward by about 30 degrees.  To make this mod look great, the LED module will be flush with the edge of the fairing (sticking out about 1/4 inch.  That way people on my sides can see them too).

If I keep the LED's facing downward like the slot, the people in front won't be able to see as much lighting, even if I use the wide-angle LEDs).  So the led's need to be positioned in like an upside-down staircase setup.  That way, it can still be flush with the fairing, but still be horizontal with the ground.

Do I make sense?

Yes, it was clear to me.

Best of luck...I got the LED light mailed out today, my apologies for the lag.  I ended up getting roped into going up north to help my mom with some chores/errands at our old house that we are renting out now, and that took 2 days to get done.

Should see you Tuesday, guy at USPS said.

No prob.  I'm not in a hurry.  I have to figure out how I'm gonna attach those LED taillights.  I have a brakelight modulator, and when I had installed some LED's in the rear, they would actually strobe.  I'm not sure if I wanna keep them in there to make the LED taillight strobe too.

Hey An check out this site for some motorcycle led's like the ones you want to put in your fairing

http://www.customdynamics.com/motorcycle_lights.htm

More lights = better safty you should do this

or

Even if the voices aren't real they have some good ideas.

I have that site bookmarked.  They have some great LEDs too, but still with the problem of getting them flush with the fairing, but still shine horizontally with the ground.

I heard that one girl got pulled over on the highway on a sunny day because a crystal she had hanging from her rear-view mirror was flashing blue through the tinted upper part of her windshield.

Prob. not because it was blue.. its illegal to hang ANYTHING from your rearview mirror  :thumb:

Never heard of that before. Did a quick check and didn't see anything like that mentioned in any of the TX DOT laws.

It's true in MA though.

But cops are not worried about what kind of fuzzy dice or air freshener you've got hanging from the mirror.

I'm too lazy to go back through my posts, but I don't remember putting anything about wanting blue lights.  I've already gotten into trouble for having (and using) blue police lights, but that was years ago.

I have blue l.e.d.s shining down on f/r wheels and both sides of the engine.   I asked a cop, he said no one should give me trouble in tx.  I went to the texas dot website and they actually encourage lighting motorcycles up to gain visisbility at night.  cheers!

clear alternatives said in an email that left and right turn signals need to be at least 6 inches apart, so their integrated turn signals and turn signal strips are not legal in the US.

It's only a 25 dollar ticket here in masachusetts, and police rarely care about it/know it.

Here's an update.

Still can't find blue that's small enough.

The one's Alpha can get are too big for that spot.
