2004 GS500F gas tank amount

How many gallons does the 2004 GS500F gas tank hold?  I'm trying to figure out if it is 3 with a reserve of 1 or something different since there is no gauge.  Thanks!

5.3 US gal with a .9 US gal reserve, I believe.

Even trying to run it dry I usually only fill it up with 4.1 or 4.3 at the most. The reserve seems to be a bit larger than .9 US gal as well.

I don't think I've ever put more than 4 gallons in mine, usually it's like 3. something. I'd like to know how far I could go on reserve but I don't want to ride around my neighborhood for an hour to find out either!

I dead sticked into Vega in the middle of the desert.  Had to kick a couple of steps to coast to the pump.
4.9 gallon to the filler neck, normal fill.  05F

I had this happen to me the other day. I ran the sucker until she wouldn't even start. Filled it to the top, a little over 4.9 gallons.
