Got the Kat rear wheel comming in this week, so I got a few questions for the swap experts Alpha and Turd

I'm going with a 150 rear wheel, will I still need to shim out the rear sprocket?  And does anyone have the torque specs on the rear bolts?  And lastly it was said not to mix bias ply and radial tires, not planing on it but I was wondering why?

Oops I think I got the wrong wheel too   I was supposed to get a 98-02 wheel right?  the 03+ wont fit?
Pilot 22.5, Mid 65 , Mains 147.5, Mixture screw 3.5 turns out

Even if the voices aren't real they have some good ideas.

150 rear TIRE, not wheel! :)  :icon_mrgreen:

Couldn't hurt to shim out the rear sprocket. I did on mine, just to be safe.

Bias ply and radials have entirely different handling characteristics and construction. Mixing could cause instability, something you don't want.

The '03+ should work. It's the same wheel.

Torque specs on the rear bolts:
Brake disc nuts and bolts -- 18-28 Nm -- 13-20 ft-lbs
Sprocket nuts and bolts -- 40-60 Nm -- 29-44 ft-lbs
Rear axle nut: self locking - 60-96 Nm -- 44-70 ft-lbs -- nut with cotter pin: -- 50-80 Nm -- 36-59 ft-lbs

Hope this helps!

get a katana caliper bracket and the caliper will line up perfectly
with the GS bracket .....the caliper will only have about 3/4 pad touching the rotor
and most people whine about it not being correct

want Iain's money to support my butt in kens shop
