ipod shuffle?

Probably a really stupid question, but can I download from Itunes to ANY MP3 player, or am I limited to iPods?

Songs downloaded from the iTunes Music Store are only able to be played on an iPod, in the iTunes software, or any QuickTime enabled Apple application. You can remove that restriction easily a couple of ways, but that's how Apple would like you to use the music.

I have an ipod Shuffle. 

I like it.  It is super small and hangs by a lanyard on your neck.  It does only hold about 120 songs, but I really can't think of 120 songs I want to hear right now. 

In addition to the Shuffle mode, you can play straight through.  So if you come to an artist that you are digging right now, you can switch it so it will play in order, rather than Shuffling.

It is pretty awsome to wear when jogging, which is the only reason why I got it, other than to wear snowboarding (which will be perfect).  I haven't tried wearing it on the bike yet.

But yeah, they are pretty cool.

I've a shuffle and I only like it because I got it for free - never had problem with mine (my friend had to exchange his 3x before he sold it) but I really hate the Apple proprietary 5h17  iTune... 
Anyway, it works great without iTune now  and it's great - I'd definitely not buy it if I had to pay for it, there are better and cheaper options out there (Apple and their life style premium), had a splash proof lyra before this and that thing was bomb proof... It's been dropped in the toilet by accident once... bounce off the bowl and into the water... the Shuffle's pretty tuff too, but it scratches easy.
