for some reason I cannot get on the forum from work, or the other forum I frequent, my local forum burntheedge.com.
when I try to get the site up it starts to load the site and about half way (very slow) it gives me the "cannot find server" white page. I thought my internet was down at first but other sites come up like before.

I can get on other sites just fine.

I've tried clearing the cache and restarting the pc.

I've tried ipconfig /dnsflush then ipconfig /registerdns

I've tried ipconfig /iprelease then ipconfig /renew

restart.

shut down and start up much later.

I dont understand why its only this site and one other, and how another guy from burntheedge.com is also having trouble loggin on, and how I can get on from home (adelphia cable-modem) but not from work (earthlink DSL).

The way my office is set up, my being a subleasor, is that the main DSL line comes into the adjacent storefront (the two storefronts are connected through a passageway, I rent the front half of one, they have the back half and the whole other side) and is routed through ethernet to the various computers in their office and to my router, which distributes it to my computers.

I should check if I can log on from one of their computers. I tried from my staff's computer and couldnt get on from there either.

Odd thing also happened. yesterday I could get on 600rr.net almost all day but it started up doing the same as above late in the day. then today I can get on that site just fine.

They recently changed servers so I will try this tomorrow:
type in just burntheedge.com in the browser then hit Enter

Then:
Start/Run: cmd
That will bring up a command prompt
Type in with no quotes: "ipconfig /displaydns"
Then hit Enter
That will give you a listing, scroll up or down and
look for burntheedge.com
See if the IP address is 209.200.229.217

That will tell if your DNS listing is correct. It may be listing the old ip address.

(from burntheedge-they've been trying to help too).

any ideas?
