Well i dropped my bike the other day. I was starting it up and the RPMs skyrocketed and i went to reach or the kill switch and my a@$ knocked the GS over. The damage was small i bent my barend and bent my brake lever. Usually those things just snap but mine just kinda rolled up.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof, is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools....

Thanks to advances in automation, Nike shoes will be made by robots. Unfortunately, the robots will be made by children in Malaysia.

That sucks.

But at least it was a stationary drop.  Not a moving-at-70-mph drop.

Looks like it wasn't too bad...  If the bar-end bolt is bent, I bet you could buy a better bolt at a bealership.  Same goes for the brake lever.

Ya a new bolt could be bought.  I would go to lowes of home depot though instead of the dealership.  On my dirtbike my little brother wrecked it and the brake lever curled all the way back like a candy cane.  I replaced it but kept it cause it looke funny and i hang stuff on it now, haha.

Just bend the bolt stright again.  Did that when my sister in law droped the GS.  Lever is cheap from the dealer after you include the shiping cost from ebay or what not.  Could try to bend it back.  Not sure that would be a good idea tho.
Pilot 22.5, Mid 65 , Mains 147.5, Mixture screw 3.5 turns out

Even if the voices aren't real they have some good ideas.

It's metric...   :icon_confused:  Lowes and HD don't carry much metric stuff...

In addition, it needs to be a pretty specific length...



And...  I know all this, 'cause I tried to find bolts all over the place...  I finally went to the dealer....  They had them in stock for a buck or so. :dunno_white:


But, you can run all over hell and back if you want. :dunno_white:



To save you even more time......  Get the part number and CALL the dealer before you head down there. :thumb:

+1, mine was knocked over by someone wearing girls shoes a while back and did the same thing.  Just use a vice or a friend with a vice and straighten the bold, thats what i did and you can't even tell it was ever bent.
