my engines situation

so heres the new deal with my 93.  i finally got it to idle and run for a while.  the idle is super flakey though.  with the choke on its pretty constant but when i hit the throttle when the choke is on the engine dies.  and when i take the choke off while its running the engines rpm's bounce all over the place and then it goes super high and it sounds horrible and i shut it off. 

anyway i oiled the throttle cable and opened it up and made sure the thing was good and responsive where it attached to the carbs.  im going to try a vaccum leak test with WD40 and mess with my air mixture screw and see where it goes from there.
