After market pipes

I dont know if this topic has come up yet...I searched for V&H pipes for my 2006...I ended up contacting them directly and the rep said that they make a pipe up to 2002, however, they have heard that people are putting them on 2006s but they have never tested them...so I was wondering if it is worth the risk? or if anyone knows where I could find some pipes for a 2006...

Well the exhaust arrived in the mail yesterday. The thing is in perfect nick, all for the princely sum of $73 AU.

I had a quick look at mounting it last night & think that the best way to do it is to mount a new hanger towards the back of the bike & fix the muffler to that.

The muffler is approximately the same size externally as the stock GS one.
