Nice!  And the bike looks good too.

I can't believe you guys are letting such a great Photoshop opportunity pass you by.  Your assignment:  Pablo's head on this chick's body.

she's ruining the bike... blocks the view.

The bike has to have more imput in moving it because everything on it that spins is bigger.  The wheels are wider and with meatier tires, the crank's three times the weight, cam shafts and gears and all of that...it's inertia and you have to fight it...unless you get a real bike.

A real bike meaning. . . a TL1000S?

Yes, yes.  There you go.

I noticed you didn't put the SV1000 in there.  Good boy.

I say, tack on a VFR and you'd have it just about right.

bleh...vfr's have too many cylinders.

I would have added the SV but, after riding one, they're not the same...the raw feel of two big pistons flopping around under your tank just isn't there.  The SV is a wonderful bike...but it's a bit shy a real bike.

I noticed on the Suzuki website, the '07 SV650 is available with ABS.  Not the SV1000.

They should re-do the SV1000.  Make it a 1200 and put top notch suspension on it, relax the ergos a bit and I'd buy one.

Why that much displacement?  If you're going to change it make it competitive where it is...with the other liter twins.  All it needs is a bit more compression and some more aggressive cams and porting in the engine department...and a slightly larger exhaust.  The rods and cranks are tough and the tranny takes abuse as well as any.  K6 GSXR suspension front and back would make the suspension sexy...the whole K6 GSXR front end and wheels should be used (including the front brakes).  Hell yeah...right there, 15~20 more ponies and K6 GSXR components front and back and Kalee would be pissed at me.

super-motards = toys.

I'm comfortable with that. Especially if I can get my hands on one for $4k.

Well, Ducati will soon have a 1200 v-twin.  I think other manufacturers may follow suit.  Buell has one as well that is legal in AMA Formula Extreme.   My question is: why not 1200 cc? The BMW R1200S is a perfect example.  120 hp and 85 ft/lbs.  I love that bike.

But yeah, the current SV motor, with more of a raw edge to it, with top self components from the GSXR line would be amazing.  Maybe update the styling (a lot).  I'd buy one.

I would much rather one of these:

but I can't find anyone willing to sell me one for $1800, and I'd probably kill myself on it.  My Suzuki dealer has 2 of them and an RSV that I have to walk by and drool over everytime I walk in the store.

Actually, I got this bike as a cheap stepping stone to a 1000cc V-Twin like an Aprillia or RC-51

As for the 1200, there's no reason for one when you can make just as much power out of a 1000.  That Aprilia, for example, makes 133hp; the RSV makes 143 hp, both out of a 1000.

Oh and Buells suck, so of course they let them use a 1200.  :flipoff:
