Just a word of thanks to everyone. I purchased my bike about a week ago. Since it was my first bike, didn't know what I was doing. I did notice a high idle after about 15 minutes, making my starts from first a little hairy sometimes. Then I was practicing some turns in the parking lot, and the rpms shot way up, bike shot forward, and I pulled it down. Checked the site. First, the throttle cable was tight, and was pulling when the wheel turned (to about 6000 rpms). Adjusted that - problem solved. Still had high idle. Checked the GSTwins site. Adjusted the idle. Problem solved. Kind of unbelieveable that I bought this from a dealer. Surprised it wasn't adjusted. Anyway, the fixed problem makes riding a hell of a lot easier. Cheers folks, and thanks for the help. Its like having a group of friends with the same problems - but with solutions.
