Thanks for the link! Joined. I'll ride for any family here that needs protection from those zealots while burying their loved one. Isn't it just sick and totally disgusting that the families of our fallen soldier would need *protection* while grieving over their loss.

I'm really, really suprised full-on riots haven't broken out and that this Phelps guy is still breathing.  I don't know why nobody's given him the old sack-full-of-doorknobs treatment yet.  People get hurt badly for much less everyday.

In reality no one will do anything about it.  The people they offend are the people who stand by the graves of those who've they've respected.  How much would your respect for the fallen mean if you opposed those they defended?

Those soldiers died protecting our country and our rights.  Including 1st Amendment rights.

and that's all well and good, but if it were my son's funeral all the rhetoric about freedom goes right out the window.  Somebody would be in the hospital and somebody would be in jail.  I'm just suprised that nobody has gone there yet.

I don't think I could stand by and let them do it...I just don't think I could.  I don't have to like your koolaide but don't make me drink it.

These people are ....ah   f%$k it. f%$k em all.  Dead soldiers have nothing to do with Gays in the army.  

Funerals should be protected from protests and demonstrations.  even if the guy that died was the one who signed the bill to allow gays in the military, his family should be able to put him to rest in peace.

I know hate begets hate and I shouldn't let these zealots and bigots get to me, but damn, just the thought of them having to be drowned out at a soldiers funeral, boils my blood.

If it were my family or a fellow soldier I served with, I just don't think I could stand by and let them do it.


enough with this BS..  I am tired of thinking about this. I hope they never show up in my life.
