Ok, I have a major oil leak center around the bottom right side of the motor casing. All the bolts are tight, none of the oil pan bolts are striped but it still maintains this "leak" Has anyone else had this problem? The dealer just replaced the motor but it did it before just no where as bad as this. I'm, talking now there is a softball sized puddle of oil under the bike after sitting over night. the oil level remains fine though. I hoe to get this bike to TN today but I'm kinda leary bout driving it 500 miles...

Did I get that right: The dealer replaced the motor, it leaked before and still is leaking?

Then it's most probably not the motor.

Did you replace the carbs along with the motor. If not I bet you are running it on PRIme and your float valve is shot. The float bowls overflow, drain into the airbox. The airbox drain hose ends by your right footpeg. The Airbox is always slightly oily, so the fuel washes oil out.

Countermeasures:

Don't park her in PRIme, but switch to ON. If she runs fine on ON, leve the petcock in that setting.
Check and rebuild the float valves. Usually a leaking valve means one of the following:
- Valve needle eroded
- Dirt in the valve
- O-ring of the valve seat shot

It should be pretty easy to tell if its fuel or oil, but it could be oil in your airbox that drains out of a hose that ends by your right footpeg. That hose should be plugged though. Either way, thouroughly clean your engine and airbox and take it for a ride. Park the thing on the centerstand on a clean piece of floor or cardboard and wait for the leak to develop and find out where it's coming from.
