Has anyone else see it?

I have to say, it sounds exciting, but I think they missed the mark (by a mile) on the styling.

Kawasaki may be selling me the '07 Z1000 in the next two years however.   Hubba hubba.

I'd rather have the 1200 than either the 1250 or z1000...something about being able to hit 120lbs of torque without stressing anything just sounds amazing.

~of course I don't know much about the 1250.  If it's the same motor only stroked or bored out a hair, then I'd rather have it and go for 120+ lbs/tq.

Jake D

I think it is an all new motor.  The it looks tons shorter (with the stacked transmission shafts).  It doesn't share much of anything with the Busa motor of the Gixer motor.

Suzuki should have aimed for the Z1000 market/FZ1 market.

Judge for yourself.

Likewise, though it does seem to be a bit out there in terms of styling.

I love the way the exhaust pipes are swept to the right.

They seem to have stolen a lot of things from other companies, though.
Headlight - MV Agusta Brutale
Color - Triumph
Muffler - Yamaha R6

No news on whether or not it is coming to the states though. From what I read on the UK site the suspension is non-adjustable, except for spring preload in the rear. So that's one budget item right there.

Actually the previous 12 and 6 were liquid cooled.  The new 12 is water cooled.  Dunno about the new 650.

I'll pass.  A new motor robs the bike of it's easy power producing potential.  Plus it looks like a nake...er...Strom.

The old one was a missle waiting to launch.
Rich, RIP.

I agree that the new B1250 looks like a V-Strom.  It needs a major facelift.  Why did Suzuki make it look like a CBF1000?  Uhg.

You have to admit that new Hornet is sexy.

Alpha, post up picks of the new Z1000!

Ever seen a mid-70's CB400 four cylinder? these pipes are a copy.

As for the Bandit, I think it will take over the semi-naked sport-touring market, sort of like the first generation FZ1 did.  The european version gets a larger fairing and full complement of luggage.

It is like the inverted/upside down debate.

yeah i know.  Thats why I posted the link, to show it was classified as air cooled with an oil cooler.  It he wants to argue that, fine... but what coll0412 said was 100% correct.

I don't have water in my radiator.  I have coolant.  A mixture of anti-freeze or water wetter and water.  Coolant is not water.    Oil is not water.  Both are liquid.  But to say that a bike is water cooled is wrong.   Because who uses just water?  It is a coolant cooled bike, if you want to be an ass about it.

As an aside:

upside down: adv in such a way that the upper and the lower parts are reversed in position.

invert: vt 1. to reverse in position, order, or relationship.  2. to turn upside down.

The Suzuki site is flawed.  Perfect proof lies there in your quotations...the Katana 600 and the GS500F use similar cooling systems (not sure if the GS's counts as SACS)...and those specs haven't been updated on Suzuki's website in the last 6 years at least (including when the bike got an oil cooler).  Even Suzuki uses the terms interchangeably...probably why the asshat at Sharps in Amarillo wouldn't sell me a damned freeze plug for my Bandit 400.  That's the point of maintaning distinction.
