Because who uses just water?

How many tracks allow you run antifreeze?

None, I assume.  But you may have heard of Water Wetter.

And Pablo, there is water in ice tea, Crystal Light, coconuts, my bladder, Tang, Diet Pepsi, a sewage treatment facility, Bud Light, etc., but do you consider those things "water"?  I say once you put anti-freeze in water, it aint water.  It's coolant.

So if I drain my radiator and fill it with beer (which has water in it), is there water in my radiator, or is there beer in my radiator?  Riddle me that, Batman.

Why don't you go back to your sports car thread, Dr. Nurbering.

not exactly a good example...coolant has water in it. you mix the coolant with water to get it to the right mixture, not because its lacking water. Iced tea needs water as an integral component, without which it is something altogether different.

Some tracks won't allow water wetter...or any additive.  Must be straight water.

Coolant is a term for anything used to "cool" something else...water, oil, pepsi...whatever you use.  It's composition is irrelevent to the term.

And it's Nurburgring Nordschleife.

Is it possible for one man to know everything?  That can't be possible, right?

I reject both of your arguments because they lack merit, foundation, and credibility.  And I have that luxery.  This is my thread.

It's possible for one man to know everything.  I know everything, and Pablo knows more than me.

I automatically assume people are full of shaZam! when they say any of the following:

1.  They are rich.
2.  They can fight.
3.  They have a big pee pee.
4.  They know everything.

I've never met anyone (else) that had all those qualities.

name one.

Additives arent allowed based on their contents, not as a standing rule. anti freeze is glycol based and  that is ultra slick. If you dump your bike and your coolant goes on the track it closes the track for hours. Water wetter is allowed. Engine Ice is usually not allowed as it is also glycol based. straigth water is obviously allowed. There are also specific non-water coolants that are occasionally allowed, like Evan's Coolant (because its not glycol based).

I don't know personally...I bought an FZ600 and a Bandit 400 from a guy in Battlecreek.  He said he only ran water in the Bandit because the track he hit didn't allow any kind of addatives to the cooling systems.  My personal track experience is limited to only glycol addatives being banned.

pantablo

sounds like he didnt understand what the actual requirement was.

Yeah, but I was commenting on any cooling arguement with Mak, so before you try to shoot a zinger...

THINK.

Then act.
