Riding to Reno from CA... (yet again)

So anyways, for those f you who are familiar with the story... last time I rode from Chico, CA to Reno and back, I ended up with a severe injure on my already injured shoulders  That was close to a month ago.

It is finally today that the shoulder pain I enjoyed as a result of that little trip, is completely gone  and the next weekend I am getting ready to bring my motorcycle to Reno (I moved around 3 weeks ago).

Next weekend I am driving to chico and basically I am doing the trip from chico, ca to Reno, nv on motorcycle once again (but only 1-way). I was wondering, is there some sort of shoulder pads (dual) with heat that I can use to minimize the pain? or should I use icy pads instead? 
I am looking for something I can wear under my jacket for like, 4 hours or so.

Was it circles the one living in Reno or close? (I'm bringin my bike in a week so we can ride!  )

they have icy-hot patches and stuff like that...I'd get some of those.  I used some on my elbow a few years back (luge accident left me pretty badly banged up) and it made an all-day ride pretty enjoyable...but I thought the luge ride was enjoyable, too...go figure...
