A few questions

Okay, so I now have a good idea of the damage to my bike.  Bent handlebar, and the right side cover (covers the tips) are broken, also when that cover broke it sheared off the screws so I need the whole entire clutch cover.  And a dented tank.

So, where can I get a right handlebar for the 89 (the clip on style bars) just the bar

I am interested in possibly getting an engine from a 2004 (on ebay, it is close to where I live so I don't have to pay shipping).  Can a 2004 engine bolt right into the 89 frame?
Thanks for you guys help!

I would go to a bike shop and ask them to make you a bar for your clip on.  Its just a 7/8" bar like any other handle bar.  People will commonly cut up an old 7/8" bar for their clip ons.

You could also head to your local metal shop and ask them to cut you a chunk of .120 wall 7/8" tubing.

And the engine swap thing was covered recently (within the last week).  Do a quick search and you should come up with that thread.

You could probally get those screws out with a left hand drill bit and or an EZ out. It's worth a shot before considering getting a new cover or engine.
