I have been interested in installing the "f" models fairing/headlight on my "e" model.  I have looked at the frames and found mine does not have the fairing bracket mounting points.  I think it would look pretty good, I was even thinking of trying a half fairing job (ala SV650s') but have yet to find an aftermarket fairing company making them.  Another observation on the "f" models I see is that I don't care one bit for the super high handlebars with the fairing, they should have reverted to the '89 style bars for the fairing.
sold!...... only my SV650 remains with me

hit up sharkskinz.com and look at a TL1000S 1-pc upper.  Get the race fairing and build your own subframe, then go with custom lighting.

Oh and yeah the F fairings fit up but you got to finagle the exhaust around and come up with your lighting/upper moutning scenarios.

Somebody is parting the hell out of a 500F on ebay if you're thinking about it.  Ends in a few days.   I was pondering it for awhile but I got too much wrapped up in my dual headlights and everything else.  Plus, not totally sure on the clearance with my GSXR forks and clip-ons.
92 GS500E - sold.
75 CB750 - sold.
95 VFR750 - sold.
90 GSX-R - for sale.
99 CBR XX - not for sale, yet.
