Wonder if it (the mini fairing) will fit a GS?
I'll have a quick measure tomorrow to see if it looks possible

I think that's kilometers...  right?
Nope, It's miles,  But I'm only responsible for 400 of them.

I think it's a crying shame that the States are lacking many (any?) nice classic looking but modern nakid bikes.

We have the Triumph Thruxton and Bonneville, as well as the Ducati Sport 1000, GT1000, and Paul Smart 1000, as well as the Suzuki SV650 (although it's a lot less "classic" looking now), and the Honda 599 (CB600) and 919 (CB900).

The new 599 (CB600) won't come to the US, I think, and it also lost its classic look too.

The Truxton and Bonneville are nice, but with dual rear shocks and single front discs, hardly modern
I thought about a Bonneville as an option for a new bike but decided it was a bit too retro.

The Ducati 1000 is nice. The GT1000 is really nice.
They are a bit beyond my price and experience range, but nice none the less.
The Paul Smart 1000 looks a little like it's trying too hard. like a 70's night club.

I do like the SV650s performance and cost, but the new (post 2003) styling is a little too angular for me.

Honda CB600 and CB900 are both really nice bikes, and I might well have got one, but money is a touch limited right now.
Also as you say this coming years models are heading more towards the FZ600 look.

nice bike dude.  Are the scotts(?) oilers popular over there?

red_phil

Scot oilers are popular with the commuting / touring set.
The sort of folk who have hard luggage on their bikes.
*REAL* tourers sneer at anything without shaft drive though.

I've got hard luggage, but there is no mounting kit for the Bandit
I'll fabricate one sooner or later.
