Just rode home in 30 degree weather with mesh jacket, no liner.  Wasn't that bad.  Windshield and fairings are life savers.  BTW  it was hot when I went out earlier.  REALLY hot, that's why I didn't take cold weather gear with me.

I have been riding in the cold now for I'd say about a month. Coldest temp so far that I have road in was 28F (-2C). As far as snow...I road in some light flurries that didn't stick, I did however slide up to the intersection :o . Since I am planning to ride in the winter I will probably get some heated grips, gloves, and vest. This way I'll be warm, now just to figure out how to melt the ice below the tires  ;) . Here is what I wear on cold days.

Thanks.

i don't even drive my Mazdaspeed on snow days, forget about the bike!

all Saab, all the way when the flurries start.  just had the Nokian snows balanced, mounted, and had an alignment done to get ready for winter.

Fieldsheer jacket with liner - water and windproof. Balistic 5.0 pants - nothing gets through these. Then a really good pair of gloves. I have black diamond leather, goretex, polartec. Finally, I just installed the Plexistar 2 windshield. It has made all the difference during the low 30's ride. Covers the hands, and deflects the air right into the helmet.

I just got one of these Saturday

very warm, it comes with a thermal liner.  I have not tried it out in really cold weather, but Saturday night it got down to low 50's high 40's and I had to remove the liner because I was overheating.  Aslo got some a* winter / water proof gloves.  They remind of of ski gloves and they are very warm also.

My dad just got this jacket http://www.newenough.com/firstgear_kilimanjaro_4_jacket_page.htm

loving it really warm and comfy, he's very happy with it.

You can typically find these for under $300 shipped with a little searching on the net.

Do you have a balaclava. I got a nice one for 25 bucks or so, and that thing makes a world of difference on cold days. No frozen neck, less cold air rolling over your head, etc etc.
I also got a pair of thing ski glove liners for my hands. The additional bulk in the gloves takes a bit to get used to, but it makes a world of difference in the warmth factor.
A sweater under my textile jacket also helps out quite a bit. I don't feel the wind at all bundled up like that =)
Aaaaah, Los Angeles. Where if the traffic don't kill ya, the air will =P

my TM jacket came in last night and fits great.  once i get the fork seal done on the right side, i'll go for a maiden voyage.
