When you get her painted, just let me know on the decals too... you won't find better ones out there, plus a great price. :thumb:

Man that is the wrong attitude ...
We should have Onefastvega and pastrami wrestle ... the winner gets the job ... yea ...
The loser get to paint all the crap I have left over from my assorted array of bikes where I powdercoated the metal and said screw the plastic ... so you'd have to color match it to some powdercoated stull that you cant see ... but I'll describe it well ...  :thumb: ...
OK Now tickets for this event to the right please ...
Bets can be placed and that line is to the left. Get in on the action while its hot. We do expect this event to be sold out and betted out basically.
Cool.

I'm in both lines, I'm just a crazy S.O. Buddha Loves You like that...

If you don't want to give onefastgs a chance, then just take the damn thing to your friendly local auto paint shop, pick a colour (any colour you like), it'll look good.

how much to paint race bodywork to match this?

I'm seriously considering buying fully dedicated race 'glas for the RR. I LOVE this scheme. My local shop can get me a full set of plastics for $500. I wont be using the front fender though. Upper and lower halves, and tail only. Shipped from/to santa monica, ca 90405.

btw-my marchesini wheels are powdercoated black and they look WET.

For someone local, find a smaller shop, usually word of mouth, got a local forum you could ask? For my uncle to do the tank, straight shoot (meaning one solid color) will be $50 if he's got the color $75 if he doesn't. Whole thing (meaning Tank, front fender, side plastics, two side plastics and center section) straight shoot is $450. The fairings add in that extra cost. That includes prep, filling any dents or scratchs, primer and a ton of clear. I think these are average prices so I'm not trying to recruit you, just giving you a hint of what it would cost. Onefastgs may be alot cheaper Idk. Call some places up and ask, quotes are part of the job! Personally I think smaller shops do a better job but I've seen some bigger ones do excellent work as well.

  yeah  i understand that....

Seriously though if you just want a tank done, any body shop can do it for you... Not sure of the mix ratio, what we use is 50:50 so you should only need a pint not a quart

The paint job I'm doing on mine this winter is gonna be $1200...thats cost...not even any labor...crazy eh?

I'm going silver basecoat, blue candy, stainless steel laminate and crazer. Haven't decided on graphics yet so I can't tell you exactly what else will be done. Its gonna be sweet though.

I figured..I bought the bike for $100 and I've had a lot of fun because of it....it wasn't my first bike..it wasn't even my 3rd bike..but I plan on keeping it forever...I'm saving up for a 675 but theres alot of other things that have to come first. Until then, I'll have fun modding and fixing as the case now seems to be...my gs...Paying more for paint than the bike does seem silly to me too...but its my baby now. I don't think I'll ever find another bike that fits me as perfectly as the gs does.
