WEll I know there have been a million tire threads, but i want you, pantablo to tell me which tire you have on the back, and its size, or other good ones you know of. Thanks Pantablo. And which fairing do you have also? Your bike is my guide. Progressive springs: which should I get and how much?

You have a ways to go my friends...pablo's ego started quite large before he even found gstwin...and now? j/k.

I appreciate all your trust and respect but I am just like you guys (only prettier). All I've done is read a bunch of stuff and gathered a little of my own experience. Glad I could share.

I have a 150/60 on the rear, 110/70 front, Michelin Pilot Sports. However, I caution you that if I had to do it again I would look to 140/70 (too bad few if any radials come in 140/70 here in the states).

While I love my 150 I have noticed the tendency of the bike to drop into a turn at a high lean angle. I've gotten used ot it and its not an issue when you hit the lean angle you want right away. But, if you're gently leaning over, adding more and more lean angle slowly, you'll feel the bike want to fall after a certain point-that point IS pretty far over though.  It was a little unnerving at first, being a new rider but I'm totally used to it now.

If I couldn't find a good radial in 140/70 I'm not sure what I would get next-150/60, wider rim, or bias ply. I'd hate getting bias ply tires after running radials.

Another thing that IS ego is that I'd like to know how close I've been able to come to the edge of the tire. The 150/60 won't let you know since the last 1/4"(?) is not accesssible due to being pinched-so you'll always have chicken strips (THAT's the ego part).

Wider tire DOES look great on the back though and it's nice to have access to most good, current sportbike sticky rubber. Tires are very sticky-just ask Good_guy or JohNLA about how my riding changed after getting the tires...like night and day. I'm sure some of that was just because I got rid of the rocks that came with bike!

The best way to run a 150 is to install a wider rim. Bandit 400 or 88-89 gsxr 750 rear rim installs pretty easily (easier than the b4 wheel).

You cant go wrong with Bridgstone bt45's even though they're bias tires. most agree they're pretty sticky. You can also go Metzeler ME2/ME4(?) radials but I think you need to do a 140/80 rear instead of 140/70.

For progressive springs check the install page on my site. I give model number and where to buy for $60. Check the for sale forum too as there was a place someone found selling them for $47 but they were back-ordered I think.

I hope this helps.
